The more I deal with the Zoho Writer programm, the more problems I see even with the most basic functions:

Deleting of documents sometimes works, somtimes it does not. Just now I tried to delete some documents: for 2 or 3 of them it worked, for another one (completely the same structure) it does not. I click the delete-button again and again, but the document is not transferred to the trash.

When clicking to import a document, it appears the information that its size should be 10 MB or less.

So I tried it with a document with a size of about 2,5 MB (word.doc, only plain text, no images at all, no formatting). The system could not manage it: not only uploading was very slow but also it was not able to save the document. Finally I stopped the procedure and deleted the document.

So why writing about 10 MB (or less), when the system is not even able to handle a document with 2,5 MB??

1. Zoho Mail accounts are currently provided with unlimited space.

2. We are yet to support the display of 'Used Space'. We will be supporting this very soon.

unfortunately it does not work correctly too:

E.g. when trying to change the font and its size to Arial and 12 points, it works when I edit my document (= here I see my document with this changed formatting details), but when the document is published in the Internet, the size is not 12 but tiny (and the font also does not seem to be Arial)!!

And one more bug:
In the field with the font size remains permanently the number of 12 points, although obviously the real size is only 10!

I have configured my domain in Zoho Business and changed the mx for mail. However I cannot find the 20+ email addresses in the domain that were configured before I moved the mx address as instructed. What am I doing wrong?

Additionally,

Although you enable branding of the project sites and login page, another Zoho Registration Confirmation page appears with the Zoho branding and it is very unattractive (clashes with our branding) to our clients to see that page and branding...

Can this confirmation occur inside the Project app? Or can the confirmation page at least be styled to our brand like everything else? ...

Both of these issues are a little rough and inconsistent as far as a seamless experience for our clients.

Your help is appreciated.

After a name search from the homepage (upper left corner), we get a list of search results and for some reason the lead or contact name field is never hotlinked to view it without editing it.

The only way to actually view the info is to click on the edit icon to the left.

How is this corrected? Most of the time we simply wish to view the record, not to edit it.

I was looking at something on the forum tonight and logged in to the zoho crm via the rstoeber.com website. Now when I try to go back to the zoho crm login page it redirects me to www.rstoeber.com.

How do I get rid of this?

We are hoping to build an interface/plugin to capture user registration data to the Zoho database. The last time I checked I needed the following:

MySQL Host
MySQL User
MySQL Password
Table name (which the leads will be stored)
Table field names

API for lead capture

or CURL method.

Could Peter or someone with knowledge address whether these things above are available? We're trying to program this interface with PHP within the Joomla component to populate the database.

I know that many users would be pleased if they could capture this data more seamlessly.

Does the Zoho Projects team consider an across-projects search function viable?

I can see that at a certain number of projects, management might become complex, and to a great degree rely on the client's/user's memory.

A search function would greatly help and improve overall management with a large number of projects with corresponding large numbers of tasks.

It is good that we can indicate at task level the degree of priority.

However, on the homepage, there is no corresponding way to refine selection in terms of these levels of priority.

It would be good if Zoho were to introduce a function that would enable the selection of tasks (and milestones) by the level of priority.

hi.. first, thank-you for an incredibly useful and versatile tool. zoho creator is amazing. i have a question.. the submit and reset buttons are half-hidden if i open the form in the new chrome browser, and disappear completely if i look at the form in firefox. has anyone else experienced this?

This integration is critical for us in making the transition from working on local documents to using z docs (or google docs...) Your project and crm apps (and others) would be an absolute NO-BRAINER if there was tighter integration between all of them.

Projects and documents, CRM and documents, shared calendar between crm, projects and the calendar app... etc. Otherwise, we are just looking at the same disjointed workflow... only in the cloud instead of on the desktop.

If zoho can sit on desktop as icon with saved user id and password, and launches itself with a click of mouse, it will become much more useful, avoiding need of launching browser, opening zoho website and login etc.

As a future and much needed enhancement, would it be possible to set our own locale settings instead of using Country/Language in the account settings?

For example, the locale for French Canada is different than for English Canada :

Number/currency :
en-ca : $123,456,789.00

fr-ca : 23:45:12
Short date :
en-ca : 01/15/2008

Also, you could always create a ISO/SI locale which follows :
- ISO 31-0/ISO 80000 for the decimal sign i.e. "decimal sign is either the comma on the line or the point on the line" (let's make it user selectable),
- ISO 31-0/ISO 80000 for the digit grouping i.e. "Numbers may be divided in groups of three in order to facilitate reading; neither dots nor commas are ever inserted in the spaces between groups" (space is the de facto standard, again, user selectable?)
- ISO 8601 for the date (yyyy-MM-dd) and time (HH:mm:ss),
- SI for the currency : 1234,56 ¤ (or ISO 4217 : 1234,56 USD which is even better)

If I may suggest, the user's locale should be semantically independent from the format so that a US-English user could see his date in his own locale (01/15/2008) , the entered number having been entered in a different locale. To help you out, this is a list of the different semantically formats that I found in Excel, Google Docs, Zoho, etc. :
- Plain old text
- Semantically Rich text (Wiki)
- Number - normal, represented in base 10
- Number in base X, fraction (%, binary, hexadecimal, scientific, 23/45, etc.)
- Currency/unit (100,00 $, 100 km)
- Date-time/date/time
- Custom mask (postal code, phone numbers, etc.)

Finally, I would hope that the account UI language is independent from the user's account locale setting and from the language setting from her browser.

Dear Keith,

It is possible to add custom field for Shipping Costs and print the amount value while printing the Quote/Invoice.

Follow the steps given below:

1. Add a custom field called Shipping Cost in Quote/Invoice form and position the field in the required section using the drag & drop Page layout customization tool.

PS: As Rishi mentioned above, you cannot customize the Line Items section. However, you can position this field in other sections. For more details, refer our Online Wiki:
